The consortium was extended to cover European and domestic cooperation two years later. In 1951, all the airlines were merged to create SAS. SAS has been described as "an icon of Norwegian–Swedish–Danish cooperation." On 27 June 2018, the Norwegian government announced that they had sold all their shares in SAS. SAS is a founding member of the world's largest airline alliance, Star Alliance.
If your flight is delayed or cancelled and you arrive at your final destination at least 3 hours after the scheduled time due to causes within the airline carrier's control, you are entitled for up to €600 compensation according to EU Regulation 261/2004.
Regulation 261 is a European regulation establishing common rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of flight delays and cancellations.
